About Moringa

Moringa (Moringa oleifera) is a fast-growing tree native to South Asia, known as the “drumstick” or “miracle” tree. Its leaves, seeds, pods, and roots are nutrient-dense—rich in vitamins A, C, E, calcium, potassium, and plant protein—and contain bioactive flavonoids and glucosinolates with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Preliminary studies and small human trials suggest benefits for blood glucose control, modest LDL cholesterol reduction, antimicrobial effects, and liver protection, but most positive findings come from animal or limited clinical studies. Larger randomized trials are needed. Moringa may interact with diabetes or blood-pressure medications and is potentially contraindicated in pregnancy; consult a healthcare professional.
